I am wanting to read a specific cell that is added to an excel sheet daily from a shared drive and write it to tag in Ignition. The cell with the value is next to a date column, is there a way to search the excel sheet for today’s date and select the value from the next column? Is this possible to do without installing a module for reading/writing documents?
Your requirement is not clear! However my newly released module New module - RWS - Restful Web Services , from PRAMANJ Technologies allows you to write to any tag from an HTML page based in an event. If you can specify your requirements perhaps I can think of solution to write to tag based on an event from an embedded EXCEL sheet.
