Redundancy in Ignition 8

We just had a situation where our cloud provider (Azure) was down for almost 18 hours. This has made us look at Redundancy as a possible option. What has been people’s experience with Ignition Redundancy and does anyone have any other thoughts on how to keep a system running if one fails?

Redundancy works pretty well for my clients using it, always local to the plant, though. Switchover is based on a loss of comms and using two cloud providers could yield some odd failure modes. Switchover is practical in the 5-15 second range, fwiw.
