Hi, we have a gateway V8.1.39 setup as an EAM controller with 32 gateway network connections and agents. We have installed redundancy, which is paired and connected now. What is the correct procedure to get the backup gateway approved and connected on the 32 remote gateways, so that they will connect to the backup gateway during failover? I am having trouble getting this done without failing over first, which I suspect has to happen, but I don't want to take down a bunch of clients for long during failover. I can't find any info on this setup in the manual or forum. Thank you.
I was able to solve this by going to each remote gateway and approving the certificate and connection that was shown for the backup gateway.
Then, I had to update the Vision client launcher config file by simply adding an application, but there are probably other ways to do this. This updates the config file with the redundant gateway address needed for each project to failover to when it detects a disconnection with the master gateway.
Lastly, I found that the security SSO setting was not checked in the backup gateway as we are using in the master gateway, because this feature has vulnerabilities that have been discovered. This can be done manually by adding an entry in the Java config file.
