Is it is possible to log a reference tag in the history ?
when I enable this no data is showing on the Chart. when i change the type to Derived the trending works.
On version 8.1.31, I've enabled history on a reference tag and I'm seeing it trend on a Vision Easy Chart and a stardard Vision Chart.
Can you provide the version number you're working with? And did you attempt this on a different chart than the two I mentioned?
I'll try to replicate the issue and if I'm unable to, it would be best to reach out to our support department (https://support.inductiveautomation.com/) to get help figuring out what is going on.

the problem is not in vision but perspective Powerchart.
when i switch datatype to reference there is no data on the Powerchart
