I am relatively new to Ignition Software, so bear with me. I am working at a beverage plant where there are multiple systems that have paper recorders with e recorder backups. There are a few different types of e recorders (JUMO, ABB, Endress+Hauser, etc.). Since all of these recorders use their own software for archiving and viewing data, I was hoping to send all of the data from the different units to our server and create an application for creating, modifying, maintaining, archiving, etc. that is compliant with US FDA 21 CFR 11.
Do companies use Ignition Software in this way? Are there any major hurdles that I would run into if I started this project? Is it better to just leave all these systems separate and train people to use all the different software?
