I have an ignition 7.9.10 system as a remote tag provider to a 7.9.12 system, this works fine. In the early versions of Ignition 8.0.x (such as 8.0.9), discovered that 7.9.10 was incompatible as a remote tag provider to the 8.0.9 system. This incompatibility is making it difficult to upgrade the systems to 8.1 due to some interdependencies. My question is if the 7.9.10 system will work as a remote tag provider to an 8.1 system or does this incompatibility still exist.
You will likely need to update the 7.9.10 system to a later 7.9 version for things to work properly across the GAN.
