Remote Tag Provider Tags Not Showing In Designer

As the title states, I have a remote tag provider that is providing tags for a gateway where graphics are located. When I select the tag provider in question in the tag browser, it is empty.

When I'm in the designer for that same tag provider, I do see the tags.

In the gateway, I can see the connection is good and the status is running.

In the status page for Tags, I can see there is an error stating "The remote service is not available."

Meanwhile the status page of the tag provider shows it is running...

I did notice there was not default database configured on the tag provider, so I added that back in.

This started after I switched from Master to Independent so I could upgrade a redundant gateway (licensed as a backup). Once that was upgraded, I switched the tag server in question back to Master. I deleted and re-configured the tag provider, but I still see the same error. I have also restarted the tag provider gateway.

The logs don't have much insight.

On the tag provider, I do see the SyncManager saying the remote side needs to resynchronize. I resynced and status is now good.

I do see the following error (on the gateway pulling in the remote tag provider) that states:

org.eclipse.jetty.websocket.api.exceptions.UpgradeException: org.eclipse.jetty.websocket.core.exception.UpgradeException: Failed to upgrade to websocket: Unexpected HTTP Response Status Code: 503 Service Unavailable

The only other error I see in logs is this, but I don't think it is pertaining to this issue.

Any help or insight would be appreciated!

I'm wondering if when you switched the redundancy if it broke something. To do an upgrade, you don't need to switch to independent. You force a failover to the backup, restore the master, then when it comes back it will take back over, then you upgrade the backup.

You may need to reconfigure the gateway connection between the 2 gateways.

Thanks @michael.flagler I will use that process for updating a backup node next time.

So the Master was upgraded by the EAM and the Backup gateway was left out of this upgrade (because it wasn't part of the group and was overlooked).

I did relink the two in Gateway Networks, but unfortunately that didn't help. When checking the connections, the ping does come back with no issues reported there, but on the EAM, I do see there's an issue in the EAM Agents status. The "activity_monitor [ERROR]" shown below. I can't find much information on this
