I have a remote tag provider connection between an 8.1 gateway (which is providing the tags) and a 7.9 gateway (which is consuming the tags).
After our upgrade to 8.1.30, it appeared the connection was working, but as of this morning, it seems that all the tags are showing a status of "Not Found" and we don't have our remote alarms showing up on the gateway anymore (This is after 3 days of working correctly).
Steps I have tried:
Resetting the remote tag connection
Resetting the tag provider on the 8.1 gateway
Disabling then re-enabling the alarm subscription
Deleting then recreating the remote tag provider
What items should I be looking at to try an diagnose why this connection seems to have failed?
Hi jciatti,
A few additional questions:
-
Do you know of any changes that may have been made to your system prior to this morning? How long ago was your upgrade?
-
Are there any errors that stand out to you in your wrapper logs? You can find your wrapper logs in logs folder in your Ignition installation path. If you know the general time where your tags disappeared, I would look around that time frame and post any relevant errors you see to this thread.

If you go to your Gateway -> Config -> OPC Quick Client, do you still see the tags you are trying to connect to?
