Remote Tag Write Issue Between Ignition 8.3 and 8.1 Gateways

Hello Everyone,

I’m trying to write a remote tag value from one Ignition gateway to another. I have performed this activity earlier with two gateways running the same Ignition version, and it worked correctly after enabling Service Security → Tag Access → Read/Write on the remote gateway.

In my current setup, one gateway is running Ignition 8.3 and the other is running Ignition 8.1. I have applied the same Tag Access settings, but I’m still unable to write the remote tag value.

Is this issue related to the version difference between the gateways, or are there additional configuration steps required for cross-version remote tag writes?

Any technical guidance would be appreciated.

Which direction are you trying to write? I know 7.9 to 8.1 had some issues in the 7.9 to 8.1 direction...
