Restoring an old backup with a .fpmi extension

I have a backup of a project that I have been trying to restore, the file extension is .fpmi. I have been told that older versions have this extension but the restore tab does not seem to recognize the file.

Is there something i need to change or modify to get it working? I am using the latest version, 7.6.1
