And note you can’t change this after installing, you need to uninstall first
Actually, it is a separate installer download. Get the full install, then pick the Maker edition during install.
I believe I downloaded the wrong version. I think I need Ignition - Linux ARMHF 32-bit.zip. I grabbed the Edge version they cite in the instructions. I’m going to try it with the right download and check back in.
Yes, I was able to uninstall and install with Ignition - Linux ARMHF 32-bit.zip. I then had the option to pick Maker. Thank you all.
I just installed Ignition-linux-aarch-64-8.1.47 onto a Rasperry Pi 3 B with 1 gig of ram. Had to:
sudo chmod +x ignition.sh ignition-gateway ignition-util .sh
then;
sudo ./ignition.sh start
Gateway is up and running. This is for a home project where I'll be controlling my garage doors and water heater.
This is exactly what I did a few months ago. I'm surprised maker edition was able to run so well on 1GB of ram and almost decade old hardware.
