Does anyone have success with running Ignition 8.1 under Windows 2019 server? I am currently running under 2016 and simply want to migrate to 2019 with no changes. Sound easy?
I’m running v7.9.16 on Windows Server 2019 with no issues. The best thing to do is setup a separate VM with windows 2019 on it, install Ignition, restore a gateway backup then see if you encounter any issues. Keep the VM to use a development server if you can.
I have a client running 8.0 on 2019 who’s had zero issues. I’d assume 8.1 would be a similar experience.
But, as always, make sure to test the upgrade on something as close to your production environment as possible.
