In the “Ignition Upgrade Guide” a method to use Perspective without Upgrading is discussed. What is not discussed is licensing. We have the 7.9 mobile license so we have the 8.0 Perspective Mobile license as well.

Is there a way to use our existing license to license the 8.0 server so it does not run in trial mode?

Whether your license will allow you to run both gateways (licensed) simultaneously is up to the internal number of ‘grants’ on your license, which is probably 1 - but is something you could talk to your sales rep about.
