Hi,

I’m trying to run a script in the Client Event Scripts (Menubar) and I got this error and I don’t know what does it mean.

In line 17 you’re calling event.source.parent.getComponent(), but the menubar scripts don’t get an event parameter, so event is undefined. Sounds like you wanted this script on a button in a window instead?

Exactly! I was using that script on a button but now I want to use it in the menu bar, how can I do that?

You can’t access a window’s components from a menubar, so you’ll need to rethink what you’re trying to do here. You might need to put the data into a tag that’s bound to the table instead of directly putting it in the table.

Well, you have the window that presumably contains the table, so you can replace event.source.parent with window.rootContainer.

Side note: consider doing this script in window, not in the caller of the window, so it works no matter how you open int. And you really should be using system.tag.readAll(), not individual read() calls.
