Are there ways to script certain gateway functionality such as creating journals, audit profiles, realtime tag providers, service security, user sources…etc? I’d like to build a project that has capability to automate creating these things. The only function I found was creating database connections via scripting…so that’s a start.
Not really. In theory, a module (or script, for that matter) could, but it would involve a lot of non-trivial knowledge of Ignition’s internals.
It’s something we’d like to make easier, possibly in 8.2, but there’s no actual details or guarantees attached to that.
