I am pretty new to ignition and am looking for a way to have steps displayed on an HMI that can be configured either thru a database or csv file import with a push button. I am looking for the steps to index based on a next step button and display different images for each of these steps. What would be the best way to accomplish this? The steps are not in the PLC.
You’ll need code for your “Next” button that advances through your list of images. There’s no canned functionality for this when the images and steps are supplied externally.
Were you planning on using Vision or Perspective? (Different techniques required.)
I am using Vision. Can you tell me more about the solution for vision? Also these images can they be stored outside of the Image Management or do they have to be inside the project file? For example could I stored them at C:\Program Files\Locationx
