Serial Gateway Module

Can someone give an example of using serial gateway module to communicate with Modbus RTU device?

I am facing with problems implementing it… Suggestions?
The device appears connected, but when I try to add a tag (using addressing inside the tag, for example: [MCPM]1.IRF2049), I got a null value.

Ideas?
