We are on 8.1.19, about a week ago ignition services would stop around midnight. Rebooting ignition fixed the issue, but it happens nightly. Last night I wasn't woken out of a sleep and monitored what was going on. The web portal said it was in trial mode. So I tried to activate the license again and it said there was no internet detected. I was logged in through ssh so obviously that's not right. Any thoughts?Thx, Jake
Is this a leased license?
Absolutely:).
Leased licenses check in on a schedule, every few hours IIRC. What's killing your internet that is interrupting that?
Wait, leased license? We are fully licensed.
Get in touch with support so they can look at your license and your logs.
If you're coming unlicensed it's either because the hardware is changing in a manner that causes the system ID to change, or the leased license checkin is failing.
If your license key is 8 digits it's a leased license. If it's 6 digits it's a normal license.
There's no connectivity issues, I can login to the server no problem. I'm not sure if the connectivity on the server has some thread that's not able to run enough. The server is overloaded and we are working toward a scaleout, but the late night calls are suckin' big. I did have a script that looked at the website to determine a reboot, but I need to do something to detect it being on trial. Perhaps wget instead of curl and looking for trial in the file will work.
It's 6 digit, I'll put in a ticket. Thanks all.
I don't see a way to put a ticket in on the site, am I missing something?
