Session.Custom properties Automatically Deleting in Ignition 8.3.0

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently installed Ignition 8.3.0 on my laptop and have encountered an issue where session custom properties are intermittently and automatically deleted. When I attempt to re-import the properties, I receive a message stating: “This project already has the following”, with options to override or skip.

Choosing Skip does not restore the missing properties, while selecting Override All successfully re-imports them. However, after a few days, the properties are again unexpectedly removed.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior? It’s quite frustrating, and I would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions the community might have.

It is a bug, unfortunately. You can find topics about it on the forum. It appears when multiple people work on the same project, I think.

I’ve experienced this in version 8.1. The way that worked for me to remedy this was to:

  1. Restore my session properties and save the project.
  2. Go to gateway config pages and export the project.
  3. Delete the project from the gateway and import the project again.

It behaved like something corrupted in the project file. After doing the import, I didn’t see it anymore.
