Setup: 1 Gateway server, Multiple sites

We currently have one physical location that has Ignition setup, and we have a Gateway connecting to that location. We want to set up two different sites, and connect to the same gateway, to act as a type of proxy to the other systems.

to re-state, 1 primary server (i am calling it a gateway) and then 3 other "back end" servers at the remote networks.

is this a valid configuration? can i have users at each site connect to the "primary" server to get their information?

Vision/Perspective can connect to gateways at other IP addresses, if that's what you're asking

This should work just fine, assuming... What you mean by backend servers is using them essentially as OPC-UA servers to funnel data to your front end server.

Check out the architecture options here. It seems like you are going for the "scale-out" architecture which is totally valid. It should not matter if your "backend" gateways are remote or local to the front end. One of my front end gateways serves 50+ concurrent users globally so dont let something like that be a concern. Just make sure the the server has enough resources to host your needs.
