I am running Ignition 8.1.47. I have a front-end gateway with an alarm status table and I am having an issue with the shelving just hanging up. I don’t get any sort of permission error or error at all, just sits there but never actually shelves the alarm. I have confirmed that the service security allows remote alarms and I have allowed shelving on the alarm itself and the component. Any idea what is going on?
- Contact support for a proper investigation.
- Check the gateway logs for errors.
- Get a thread dump of the gateway and look at it to see if you can identify obvious issues (this is non-trivial if you're not well versed in Java dev or particularly motivated, hence step 0).
