Hi,
in our plant Siemens is the leading brand of all PLCs we have and with this also comes a lot of work addressing all of the tags. I was wondering if there is a update coming that would allow users to use optimized DBs instead of non-optimized.

No, there is not.

There are 3rd party servers from companies like TANI who have reverse engineered all the proprietary S7 protocol details. Maybe try their server.
