Siemens S7-1200 Tag Syntax

I’ve gotten a Siemens S7-1200 trainer kit and am trying to setup a tag but can’t get past the red circle with the exclamation point. So far I have confirmed these things:

  1. Access level is set to full
  2. Connection mechanism PUT/GET is turned on
  3. I have set up a global DB which is DB1
  4. DB1 has optimized block access turned off
  5. To get a bit value from DB1 offset 0.2 I have the tag syntax [Siemens]DB1,X0.2

The PLC is connected fine in the gateway and I feel like I have followed the instructions from the Ignition Manual but am a bit stuck, any advice is appreciated.
