Siemens S7-1500 Tags Showing "Bad" Quality in Ignition – Need Help!

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue while connecting a Siemens S7-1500 PLC to Ignition SCADA, and I could really use some help from the community.

After successfully connecting the PLC to Ignition using the Siemens S7 driver, manually created tag and its show a "Bad" quality status.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Are there any specific settings or troubleshooting steps that might help resolve the "Bad" tag quality problem?

I’ve attached some screenshots of my current configuration for better clarity.

MI2.0 isn't valid Siemens address syntax.

Try MX2.0 - X is used for the datatype when you are trying to address a bit.

You've also got a screenshot of a DB and its properties there but you aren't addressing anything in the DB. The tag in your screenshot would be something like DB52,I2 or DB52,X2.0 for the bit.

Make sure that you have compiled and downloaded both software and hardware configuration for the protection and optimized block settings.
