Siemens s7 200 SMART

In one our plant we do have few S7 200 SMART plc’s. Is it possible to use any of the available Ignition device drivers for communicating with this PLC.

Any update on this ?

Because we have multiple S7200 SMART PLCs and we want to connect it with Ignition.

We don't have one of these to test with, but you could try just using the S7-300 driver.

It looks like these S7-200 "Smart" PLCs are a new/different product than the legacy S7-200 hardware.

use S7-1200 will be ok

Any updates on this? Not sure if this is what @chen_zhe is suggesting, but does using the S7-1200 driver for a S7-200 SMART work? Thanks

Dear all, Any updates on this topic? As chen_zhe mentioned, does S7-1200 driver for S7-200 SMART PLC work for reading the PLC read register addresses, such as I0.0 (input register), Q0.0 (output register), V100.0 (variable memory), etc? We could read limited variables from S7-200 PLC using ignition S7-300 driver, but we need to read all the variables.
Or there is another method that using gateway to convert the protocol to OPC UA?
Thanks!
