So I have a working SMS notification pipeline that pings a roster and the response ack works. I see acknowledged in the alarm table but the client has asked for more clarity on who acknowledged since they often have a number of users on call.
Is it possible to get this info from Ignition or from the Modem? I was searching through the forums and found this comment from Kevin that said the codes are unique per user so it made me wonder if it is possible?
Also the client's spec required the SMS modem, so moving to Twilio is not an option here.
Thanks, this led me to the right place. Foolishly I spent far too long looking through the Audit trails of the front end gateway and not the on site one that is actually connected to the modem so kept missing them. So I do see the acknowledgements now.
I should be able to extract them from the Audit trail though I now I notice I run into the issue of it showing every individual alarm output rather than every text i.e. an ESD happens which triggers 10 alarms which the alarm pipeline consolidates into 1 text message and sends to 5 people shows up in the audit trail as 50 lines. All 10 events 5 times for the users.
But that does get me much closer now so I'll be able to play with this a bit at least, thanks.
I think this actually works perfectly. For a while users weren't appearing in the ack User column for some reason so I completely forgot this exists and I can just filter by callouts. Thanks!
