On setting up the SMS Notification do I really need to have the Airlink Raven XE?
What if I don’t have that, what can I use to setup the SMS?
You need an Airlink Raven XE or Airlink LS300, or you can use the Twilio module (available in module marketplace) and a Twilio account.
If you just need to get going before the modem arrives… put any IP you want in and carry on setting up your alarming. You just won’t be able to actually send any SMS until you get the modem.
Other than those two there’s no other options?
