Sneding SMS in language other than English

Hello, Maybe someone have encountered this issue:
I'm trying to send an SMS message using the Airlink LX40 modem.
The Messages sent in English work fine, but when I send a message in Hebrew, I receive just meaningless fonts which can't be red.
It is an issue of the modem, since I have the same problem when sending the message directly from the modem using the ACEmanager web interface,
but I'm just trying to see if anyone have encountered similar issue?

I have no idea other than to suggest that you might need to specify Unicode in the string. In Python that would be u"My string of characters".

We looked at this issue back in 2013, because it appeared we should be able to successfully use things outside of 7-bit ASCII. However, Sierra Wireless told us that their modems “probably don’t support that”, and we couldn’t get any further support on the issue from them. We eventually gave up trying to make it work. :\ You might look into the Twilio module instead. Twilio’s service offers full Unicode support, so your 8-bit ASCII will work as well.
