Snow Leopard Mac OS X installation notes

Hi

Ignition can be run Mac OS easily but installation is not so easy if user has no know how of Linux/Unix OS systems.
Can we have DMG file in future?

Hi Tommi,

Yes, we would like to improve the install process on OSX and Linux soon to use the natural mechanisms of each platform. This will likely come in the 7.3 timeframe.

We now have a linux installer but no dmg for Mac OS X yet. Maybe next year.

The main focus has been on developing Ignition 7.6. We do not currently have an expected date for this.

No, there are currently no plans for a dmg. The main reason being that the gateway is not a drag and drop install like dmg files are used for.
