SQL Crash

Hi,

My SQL Server Had some problem, and I Had to Restart it,
The Gateway was returing an error, I dont know why the mysql server crashed
or stopped all of a sudden,

could you please look into this product and advise us

That error is showing that you hit the “Save” buton in the Designer when the connection to the Gateway was unavailable. It doesn’t have anything to do with databases…

Did you shut down the Ignition Gateway?

Ok, well for whatever reason the Designer couldn't connect to it.

I'm not quite sure what problem you're really describing, is it persisting?

This problem is persistent and I lose connection to the Gateway about 2 - 3 times in a 14 hour cycle
Can you look into it

Does the connection come back? How long is it down for? Do you have clients running, and do they also lose their connection?

I Found out that it is a BUG in Vista,
I am running Vista Business Edition

Some vista versions are known to have the "Internet Connected but Cannot connect to the internet - kind of fault, during this condition, no connection between the database and any application driven by the a databse will work…

Well if you found tons of blogs with information on it, I doubt they are using IA. Therefore it means it is not an IA problem, but a MySQL problem. I recommend switching to a server class OS or Linux. I’m leery running a consumer class OS in a industrial server environment
