We upgraded to version 8.3 and now one of our reports is throwing an error, I see in the datasource that we are using a fixed sample size but no error in the designer. should I not be using Fixed sample size in history queries?

From working with support, the fix was added in 8.3.4 and 8.3.5, you need to update to fix it.

I'd ask if you are time traveling, but 8.3 won't be followed by either of those....
