Standard Scoping in Gateway/Client Event Scripts

I noticed that Gateway and Client Event Scripts, such as the Gateway Timer Script are using Legacy Python scoping instead of Standard Scoping.

I noticed this in Ignition 7.7.1-rc1.

Similar to component event scripts, can the default scoping be changed to Standard Scoping?

Yes, we’ll probably end up adding optional scope style selectors like we did for component event scripts in other places as well.
