Does Ignition support indirect tags.?
I have several machines (industrial furnaces) that use the same windows
It would be easier in design to have 1 window that could be pointed to different furnaces. Then the tags used in the window could be re-directed to the desired furnace using indirect referencing.
Then I assume a script on a button would be used to redirect the tags in the window?
This way it would not require so many windows.
You pretty much nailed it - the tag bindings in the window will be indirect, and you will pass in a parameter via scripting. This part of the manual explains how to do that:
