I'm looking for a solution to synchronize images from a central gateway to several edge gateway
I was planned to used a windows files sync tools or rsync in case of linux gateway
and a gateway scan command. is it safe ? or we have to use the resource API to update files.
Perhaps this feature is planned for EAM module ?
I'm not sure what the future holds for the EAM module, but yes, you can absolutely do this yourself via the filesystem; there's no risk as long as you correctly invoke the scan endpoint yourself afterwards.
@paul-griffith, What do you mean? Read like that, it almost sounds like the future of the EAM module is uncertain 
jokes aside, since we’re about to purchase it, I wanted to understand if there are any future plans to discontinue its development.
Let me rephrase:
The EAM module will continue to exist and support all the capabilities it currently does. I don't know what the future holds in terms of "additional capabilities", because the sky is really the limit with the new configuration model in 8.3.
