hi, I’m using Ignition 7.7.4 with the serial support client module V 2.7.4, and as soon as I try to open the serial port, the client crashes. The port is not already open and not used by anything else.
Any Idea?
You may need to upgrade to the latest version of 7.7 and hope that it no longer crashes.
The old serial library we used needed to be updated every time a newer Windows version came out. It would crash if you tried to open a port an on unsupported version.
Sounds like you might be experiencing the same problem.
