System tags missing in 7.8.1

Hi after upgrading from 7.8.0. to 7.8.1.
Alarming system tags and Alarming folder are missing the in the gateway.
previously I was using this tags in a script.

Do you have any Idea ?

I think you’re already working with support on this… what did they say?

Hi Kathy,

I sent last week a support for OPC UA connection problem with a Beckhoff PLC, not for the alarms.

Must be a coincidence – support was dealing with this for someone on Friday morning. I’ll ping them and see if they can get the solution to you, too, because we’re not seeing that here in development.

Hi Kathy,

There is something really strange, because now Alarming path is present and I could see tags.
I start/stop a lot of of time the gateway like last week,
but today for another problem, I need to start/stop again the gateway and now I’m able to see system.gateway.alarming.tags, but I’m a little bit anxious about this fact because I don’t have any idea why tags are coming back again.

Was anything ever found on this?
I just connected to one of our gateways and the System/Gateway/Alarming tag folder is missing.
I cannot restart the gateway as it is in production currently.

From an old hand in support: This sometimes happens on upgrades through major versions. You’ll need to delete the .alarms_<sometimestamp> file in the install directory /data, then…restart the gateway.
