Tag alarms reading NULL

I have an alarm that is reading this:
At null prov:default:/tag:Phase 1 Extrusion/Alarms/L22 SA Alarms/SA4/Zone_4_Setpoint:/alm:Alarm is over 253 degree setpoint. Current setpoint is null degrees.

The Message in the alarm is written like this:
At {eventTime|MM-dd-yy hh:mm:ss} {source} is over 253 degree setpoint. Current setpoint is {eventValue} degrees.

Why is {eventTime|MM-dd-yy hh:mm:ss} giving me a NULL value?
