This already exists in the form of the Alert Message Subject in the Notification Settings for alarms, but we’d like to see the same functionality for the ‘Alert Name’ or display string. If anything about alarms is to change, I’d like to see this happen first.
I’m not sure that could be done with alert name, since it’s used to actually identify the state for things like acknowledgement, but display path could probably be done.
