I am extremely new to Ignition, so I'm sorry if anything I say sounds dumb.
I have created my Allen Bradley PLC in the Gateway, but when I go to use the Tag Browser in the Designer, "Browse Devices" is grayed out and I cannot add anything. Is there a step I'm missing?
Verify you're on a tag provider can allows you to add tags. For instance, [System] doesn't let you browse devices, but the [default] tag provider does.
I haven't tested, but I'm guessing you'd see a similar issue if you don't have a tag provider selected at all (dropdown is blank). If it's blank every time you open your designer, this page explains how to set a default tag provider in your project
I recommend checking out the university videos pertaining to AB PLC's. They do a good job summarizing how to get started with PLC's and tags.
