Hi, I wanted to archive tags that we have from the past and we don't use anymore but might need in the future for tag historical data.
Tag history is enabled but I wanted to know if I delete that tag, is the data stored anywhere else or will it remove everything associated to the tag.
I know there is a way to enable/disable the tag but I have so many tags.
Any idea what's the best way to get this done?
Deleting tags from "runtime" configuration does not delete past historical data - it simply "retires" the entries in the historical database. The historian's source of truth is a set of tables in your database: Ignition Database Table Reference | Ignition User Manual
