Tag History Splitter Question

I’m looking at implementing the Tag History Splitter module in a project that has been active for a while now. Tag history has been stored since the start on a local database. With the splitter I want to keep the “First Connection” the same as it is now. If we implement the splitter and convert all the tags over to the new tag history provider, will it create new tables in the original database or will it continue to add to the existing tables?

Also, just realized this isn’t available for 7.8 yet. Are there any plans to upgrade it?

I understood the tag history splitter was built-in to 7.8. I certainly use it.

under configure, tags, history, it should be available as a historical tag provider
