Tags not visible in project

I have a project that when I browse the tag tree in the designer I do not see any tags from any of the providers or tag datatypes. I think something in my file system got messed up in the project. If I open another project I can browse all the tag providers just fine. Any ideas?

I figured out if I go to the project properties and change the default tag provider from to an actual tag provider the tag system will start working again in the project.
