"This launch client jar signature is invalid" is the error I am getting at the time of opening the designer. Ignition version 8.1.48. Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS. Any solution around this?
I am no expert in linux so I am not sure what I missed at the time of installation but I followed the guide as per inductive automation.
The usually means something between your workstation and your gateway is disrupting that download. Often an anti-malware package. Sometimes a corporate deep inspection firewall with a man-in-the-middle certificate.
I am using open virtual box image with no firewall. It is ubuntu 24.04 OS and I have the admin rights to the system. I installed ignition in ubuntu 20.02 but then upgraded the OS to latest 24.04 before even opening the designer but this should not be a problem I believe.
This would also happen if the date of the VM is off compared to the gateway.
