Transaction group double up

Guys I have 2 transaction groups configured, each one has a single tag from two different scales. We are just storing this information to SQL server. Both transaction groups are set for trigger on evaluate for change of value. Everything works fine for the most. But on the odd occasion every 2 hours or so I end up with double or triple recordings in my SQL database. They can be 1 min to 5 seconds apart. I was using 7.17, upgraded to 7.22 last night but problem is still there. Why would I be getting double/triple readings on the odd occasions?

Just checked the log file, I think my answer is in there. I have a info warning coming up at the same time.

[Kepware] Server failure detected. Disconnecting

This would explaing double readings, now I just have to work out why OPC is failing.

I recommend turning off “keep alive” failure detection on the server and see if that helps:

  1. Log into the gateway and go to “OPC Connections>Servers”.
  2. Edit your connection to kepware
  3. De-select “Use Keep-alive” in the OPC Settings and save.

After doing that, keep an eye on it and see if it reduces your failures. We’ve had some difficulties with keep-alives and the more recent versions of Kepware.
