Tree View component: No reaction for Background Color (8.0.11-rc1)

We are using Tree View component to navigate thru Windows. We need to make it dynamic with Cell Update binding. When we try to change Background Color of the element, nothing happens. The color stays default, as is is on the Tree View itself.
The Tree View customiser shows the Background must be RED, but it stays Neutral/Grey

Could you please confirm you can recall the problem?

Foreground color is working, background color changes will not affect the color.

Any color selected will not change the background color

I’m seeing this on 8.1.5, an item’s “background” and “selectedBackground” properties don’t seem to have any effect.
