I'm trying to test my application on a Samsung tablet, the app finds the server on my laptop and can see the project, but when I try and run it, I get the 'Sessions Exceeded' error. I have tried shutting everything down and restarting the laptop but then the tablet can't find the application, until I start it on the laptop! What am I missing here please?

What version of Ignition did you install? Ignition Edge (and others if purchased that way) can have limited number of sessions you can have running at the same time. If you're using Edge, I would assume this limitation is always in place trial or not.
Two useful spots to look(these may change slightly based on if 8.1 or 8.3).
Platform > Licensing - will show you what licenses (if you have one), and what limitations may be put on your license.
Home > Perspective > Sessions - Shows you what sessions are open and the IP address so you can track down what might be using.
If you can provide Install type and version, it would help give more detailed feedback.
