Well just installed the latest Ubuntu 12.04 on laptop. Does Ignition support openJDK or should we stick with Sun?
My first round with openjdk did not look so good, why I am asking.

I’ve been using OpenJDK 7 since the 12.04 release and haven’t had any issues pop up yet… No promises though 
For Java 7, all Java implementations are based on the OpenJDK base, including Oracle’s. So I would think that you should be OK.
Well all is working on openjdk and icedtea.
