Unable to access Designer

I am unable to access Designer as when I click on the desktop I would like to use I keep getting the error "Downloading of launchclient.jar has failed, launching will not occur." I have tried reinstalling and checked that I have the latest version, however it has not fixed it. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Maybe it's a space issue? Do you have enough free space left on the disk?

Try running the designer from a terminal window to get more diagnostic information.

This type of issue is often caused by a firewall blocking the download. If you check the designerlauncher.log file in the .ignition folder ( C:\Users\{username}\.ignition\clientlauncher-data) you should also see the URL being used to download the launchclient.jar file. If you copy that URL and try entering it directly in a browser you can test if the file will download outside of the launch process.

Try removing jar cache.
