Hi,

Is your gateway connected to the internet? Can you provide the full error message and details?
yes it’s connected to the internet and this is the only message that shows, i have been trying to attach a picture but it doesn’t show for some reason…thanks
OK, problem solved. It was bad interent connection.
I have been using Maker Edition for my home automation for the last couple of years and all has been ok until I recently changed provider to Starlink I am now getting a constant LeasedActivationStrategy - Unable to Activate error. i have really good and fast internet and no problem connecting to anywhere on the internet so it is not my internet that is a problem.
How do I resolve this issue? is it something to do with the fact that they use CGNAT?
Good question. I use Starlink, too, but not at home. I might have to run some leased license testing.
the business Starlink uses public IP addresses but the residential one doesn't. I have ended up using ZeroTier to get remote access through the CGNAT
I am having the same issue.. My rpi keeps coming up with this. I'm connected to it through TailScale VPN so it's definitely able to connect to the internet.. Not sure how to resolve. Last time I've had to unactivate and generate a new activation. Very annoying considering it's supposed to be collecting water flow data
More information. It seems to lock up. Once this error is active, it doesn't appear to ever try to contact the IA licence server again. I rebooted my rpi (I assume Ignition service restart should work too, but Linux is hard...) and it re-activated the licence again. Maybe I will try auto-restarting the Ignition service if the licence goes to trial mode... bit of a crappy workaround. Definitely seems like a bug
Have you tried using only IPv6? Disable IPv4 and see how you go, IPv6 doesn't use NAT at all unless exceptional circumstances.
Not sure if you need to use tunneling as IA doesn't seem to have IPv6 enabled...
