Hi Support Team,

Requirement

We need to configure Ignition Edge to capture and forward tag values with unchanged values but updated timestamps to the cloud. This will help us:

To Ensure we receive tag values with updated timestamps.
To Plot a continuous graph in our front-end visualization.

Exploration and Issue

  • We explored various options and reviewed the documentation.
  • Disabling the setting under Tag Browser > Scripting > Value Events seems to be a potential solution.
  • However, this setting is not being saved when we disable the default.

Request for Assistance

Please suggest how we can configure Ignition Edge to:

  • Ensure the Tag Browser forwards tag values to the MQTT transmitter when there is only a timestamp change but no value change.

Current Setup/Behavior

  • Ignition Edge only sends tag values to the MQTT transmitter when there is a value change.

Desired Behavior

  • Ignition Edge also sends tag values to the MQTT transmitter when there is a timestamp change, regardless of value change.

Ignition Edge Version: 8.1.17
